Can't type in Subject lookup CRM 2015 RRS feed

  • Hi,

    we just realized now after a CRM upgrade from 2011 to 2015 that the Subject lookup has changed and users cannot type in, this imply a big increase on the time for logging a Case as they have to drill down to child Subjects.

    As explained here, https://community.dynamics.com/crm/b/crmbacklog/archive/2015/03/02/subject-lookup-changed-to-option-set-in-crm-2015 this is not user-friendly at all for user input.

    Is there any workaround for this?

    Would you MS guys even tough to change back this lookup behavior?

  • Interesting, I hadn't noticed that.  My suggestion is to migrate to a custom entity you can manage yourself.  You lose some stuff, but you keep the end-user ease of use. 

    Other than that, I would recommend filing a support ticket with MS and see if they have options.

  • Thanks for your reply, I thought on that already, however that will imply also updates to JavaScript and plugin assemblies code, something that we would like to avoid for now.

    I really don't see any improvement on this change.
