Removing administrator password on WHS 2011 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I think I really screwed up.  I wanted to remove the Admin password, so I remoted into the server, then went to control panel, users, administrator, and then removed the password.  It let me do it, so I closed the RDP session, and went to log back into the server, and I cannot.  It looks like there is a security policy buried somewhere that does not allow null passwords, so no matter what I do, I cannot log in as administrator now.  Is there any way to fix this situation without reinstalling WHS?

  • That's a remote desktop policy, it never allows null passwords by
    default.

If you can put a keyboard on the server and plug it into a monitor,
then you can log on locally and set a password.
