How do I sync the Public folders from two different computers RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have Windows 7 on both computers and have a number of files located on the Public folders on both computers (So Users/Public/Public Documents (or Public Music). I want to keep these Public folders in sync but when I try to set up a new sync, the computer I start on lets me choose the Sync folder so I select the Public Documents folder and it begins syncing. The second computer however, puts the synced files in My Documents instead of the Public Documents folder and I can't seem to figure out how to tell it to put it in the Public Documents folder to keep those synced.

How do you keep the two Public Documents folders in sync?

I want to keep these files in the Public area as they are used by everyone.

I assume that you are referring to Windows Live Mesh, not Live Mesh - www.mesh.com, you are in the wrong forum.

For discussion of the new Windows Live Mesh (formerly Sync), (as well as the released Live Sync version) go here:
