Can Mesh track the IP of Live mesh device? RRS feed

    Our office was recently robbed and one of the losses was my live mesh connected laptop.  Other computers had remote access software that will show me the IP of the connected device.  Although logistically possible to bypass my login password it is not very likely with the crackheads that did this.  It would be nice to be able to trace the IP if this does occur though.   I apologize if this post is put of place I just thought this would be a good way to get an answer.

    Thanks for your post, sorry to hear about your loss.  Unfortunately there is not a way for a customer to track the IP address. 

    On a related note, we highly recommend you go to www.mesh.com and remove the stolen machine from your device ring.

    Thanks for the help. I was hoping that the mesh officials could get me an IP if the unit ever goes live.  For now I have removed all but the stolen laptop and a "dummy" pc that has nothing on it.   After a week or so of watching  things I'll kill the laptops connection.
