  • I don't have a solution to the problem but if you have a tablet you are using and not upgraded to Windows 10 you can do like I did. I downloaded Money Plus to my Windows 8 tablet (works great) then uploaded my latest backup file from my desktop to my Cloud. I then downloaded the backup file from the Cloud into Money. Not the solution I wanted but this will get me by until someone comes up with the solution to make Money Plus work on Windows 10.

  • You need to replace your mnyob99.dll file with a patched version.  See:

or the detailed instructions provided by im-mad in this very thread.

  • Downloading that dll didn't fix this issue for me.  But I found another article that did contain a fix:

    https://microsoftmoneyoffline.wordpress.com/2015/07/28/windows-10-compatibility-with-microsoft-money/

I don't know if truncating the IE version # in RegEdit/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer  will break anything else, but I can now run Microsoft Money on Windows 10.

  • See the forum thread about downloading mnyob99.dll. Make sure when it downloads, that it isn't named mnyob99[1].dll, which it will do if you skip the step about renaming the old file. Also, make sure it's in the right folder, as described in the article.

One slow but sure way to find it is to enter the following command into a command window:

    dir  \mnyob99.dll  /s

You will see the path that way.
