  • It was reported as fixed, but recently got broken again. Search this forum, that problem was discussed recently.

  • This is the related thread

BTW, I do not see my reply in your thread when I view forum's threads.

  • UPDATE: I resubmitted this as a bug request just in case they thought they fixed it.

Like when we went through the issue/thread Naomi mentioned, I went to that forum you linked to and tried to repro. I see bold there fine. So it's only an issue with some users where you don't see bold but I do. Strange.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Ed,

Thanks for your attention, but I couldn't see the BOLD font style in your reply, can you?

I'm using IE 9 and IE 10 on multiple machines.

  • Well, interesting, in some 3rd-party browsers it works. (And some doesn't.)

Thanks Naomi, yes, I can also see the BOLD font in this post, or the other posts in this forum category, but in some other categories, the BOLD font isn't working.

And, actually, in such category, Google Chrome also doesn't work:

  • Works for me in IE8. We found in the other thread that Naomi linked to that it didn't make any sense. Some users just couldn't see bold. I could see it in any browser on any forum. Strange.

    Thanks!

  • Yes, strange, it doesn't work on my IE8.

  • No bold there with IE 9, Firefox or Opera. Bold visible with IE 9 compatability view.

Though if you change to compatability view, you get scrollbars overlapping code snippets.

Thanks a lot sipla, I haven't thought of Compatibility View. It works!

But I couldn't consider this issue as solved, because I don't want to click the Compatibility View button (to check if there would be BOLD fonts) for each page I open.

Using IE 9 or IE 10, I changed the Browser Mode to IE 8, it didn't work. But if I changed the Browser Mode to IE 7, it worked. Just as the Compatibility View.

It seems that the Font format only compatible with IE 7 or earlier.
