Windows Live Writer is not uploading my full sized images to my blog.

    Question

  • I'm using Wordpress (latest version) software, being hosted by a friend.  Essentially originally it was working fine, until one day it stopped uploading images.  I never figured out why, but I switched to ftp image upload.  For some reason, I upload a slightly larger than 720p image (png format), it will be resized to about half it's size.  The full image is like 1286x749 -- it's not 1280x720 because it's in a window in my 1920x1080 widescreen monitor.  In any case whenever I upload the image to my blog through WLW, it always resizes it to half.  I don't know why.

Still shows as full size in gimp.  Which I'm using to make my images.

-- link to the image directly

It seems to have something to do with compression.  The file on disk (the original) is about 8k (png).  However the one that WLW uploads to my ftp server is about 30k, and half the resolution.
