Off Topic:"SHOW QUICK LAUNCH" ENABLED CAUSES MICROSOFT START BUTTON TO FLICKER AND CAUSES PROBLEMS WITH TASKBAR RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I have been experiencing the same problems for months and I do not have Live OneCare installed.  This is a Windows Vista Ultimate problem.  I originally saw the problem last year and found that when I disabled "Show Quick Launch" the problem went away.  A few months ago I bought a completely new computer, every piece of hardware is different, as soon as I had completed installing all application software, I begin to notice the problem as soon as I enabled "Auto Hide" and "Show Quick Launch."  So either it is something in one of the applications running in the notification area, or in Windows Ultimate that is producing the problem.  I have tried various combinations of Auto Hide off, show quick launch on, etc., the only one that works 100% is to disable "Show Quick Launch"
