My subscritption is suppose to be active until 7/2009 but when I uninstalled OneCare and reinstalled it... the program had a HARD time finding my subscrition.

Is there NO one I can talk to about this... I need it to be reactivated.  Can someone help me?

If you have an active subscription, which is what was created when you activated on the first computer, you need to use the same LiveID on the subsequent activations. If you are arriving at a screen to purchase or provide a token, you are likely not using the same LiveID as the subscription ID.

If you don't recall the LiveID you used for your subscription, you will need to contact support who can provide that information to you using your Key and/or contact information.

Alternatively, sign in at http://billing.microsoft.com with email addresses that you have set up as LiveIDs and one will show your subscription listed - that would the LiveID to use to activate with.

If the activation dialog already contains a LiveID from a prior attempt or one used in trial mode, but this is not the one you need to activate with to associate it with your subscription, see this post for how to reset this - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2776450&SiteID=2

    Ditto.

    My subscription renewed on 9/1.

XP SP3 was forced on me yesterday.

One Care stopped updating today ("can't install an update" issue).

Jumped through the hoops of Restart, verifying BITS was running, used the clean up tool, clean reinstall... etc.

    Now I can't register. lol.

Other than this glitch, I love the product. Smile

Steve thank you for trying to help me but I tried all that and it still doesnt recognize my account.  The billings sections doesnt have any billing information for me and it wont allow me to send an email to customer support cause I keep getting into some type of loop where it asks me for my LiveID and not recognizing it.... It wont even let me send an email as a person using a TRIAL version.

Can you JUST post the email address I can email or a PHONE NUMBER I can use to get help.  Right now my computer is vulnerable to viruses because LiveOne isnt completely installed... and I REALLY do not want to get any viruses.  I paid for the service and I want it to work.  I used the LiveOneID that I signed up with but its not working... PLEASE help me... and Thank for your time and patience.

  • Steve PLEASE can you provide me with an email address so that I can fix my LiveOne account... or better a Phone Number so I can speak with someone.  NOTHING you tell me to do is working... I just get stuck in a loop asking me for my LiveID and then it telling me that its not valid.... and its the ONLY one I have for my key code.

  • XP SP3 was forced on me too by OneCare. I have the Media Version for XP 2005; the upgrade was not intended for my system, it had to be removed and the reminder turned off. Now the firewall won't work...nor can I use the old one. OneCare is appropriate: my one care is get my computer usable and safe again.

Sorry for the very long delay in my getting back to this thread.

Unofficial path - send me an email at sboots@mvps.org with a subject line including "OneCare" (to get past my spam filtering) and in the message body, tell me what country you are in, your forum nickname, and paste this link:

I am not online 24x7, so you may be waiting for a reply, but I'll do my best to hook you up with support.
