Question

Instead of renewing thru the internet I went and bought a new OneCare at the store. Before reinstalling I turned off all firewalls got rid of all other spyware and uninstalled the old OneCare. Computer works and is connected. I get an error 0014-80072EFE telling me that I have network problems that are keeping me from installing and to check my network connection. Everything is working on my end I am extremely frustrated since I have been doinng this for 5 hours. Please help.

I just answered another post with the exact same situation, so I'm not certain that the 0014 problem, which indicates a download error - usually due to a local issue on your PC - isn't a server side issue.
First of all, you did not need to uninstall the old copy as it was already the latest version unless there was a problem and it hadn't been updating.
When you actually do reinstall, activating with your same subscription LiveID will cause OneCare to inherit your old subscription so you will need to follow the renewal path, which is all you had to do originally.

Who told you to uninstall?
You may want to run the cleanup tool before trying to install once again.

The new CD for Windows Live OneCare said I had to uninstall the old OneCare before I could install the new one that I bought. I also tried again to install and got a new error 0018-80070641. I'll try the cleanup tool.
I just tried the cleanup tool and I got the error # 0018-80070641. It didn't work.

Ah, yes, that would be correct. Inserting a CD, or downloading the installer to install OneCare will indeed warn you that it cannot proceed unless you uninstall OneCare.
I'm sorry that you've encountered issues now that you have uninstalled and are trying to reinstall.
