PWA 2010 Auto Schedule Changes the Manually Set Start Date RRS feed

    The task is set as a manual schedule and I enter a future start date. When I change the task to auto schedule, the date changes to sometime in the past.  What is that date based on and can I prevent it from changing the start date when I switch to auto schedule?

    It depends on any predecessors you set on the task. If there are no predecessors, it is picking the project start date.

    You can prevent the change by either setting a constraint on that task or adding a dependency

    hi,

    Auto scheduling itself means it will set date date according to relationship between the task.

    Its happening because of predeccesor plz check in predeccesor coloum ,you can double click on task and in task inforamation tab you can add the

    constraint if task needs to set on particular date.
