Windows 10 Update changes HDD SATA RAID0 to SSD in optimizer RRS feed

  • Question

  • Following update  Windows 10 Pro Installed Intel Desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller v 13.2.0.1022 (19/02/2015)

Disk Drive Intel Raid0 Volume Driver 10.010240.16834 (21/06/2006) migrated fine.

ACHI BIOS Intel (R) Matrix storage Manager is installed v 6.0.0.1022 ICH8R

The RAID0 HDD  discs are now described as SSD and the optimiser will not fragment as the TRIM is set on. Checked this with admin. command prompt: WINSAT formal and command: fsutil behaviour query disable delete =1. Therefore no defrag available due to installation changes from the Intel Chipset not recognising the RAID0 hard drives correctly but as solid state and are 'unavailable to optimise'.

Everything was working fine under Windows 8.1 and the Intel Chipset SATA RAID Controller chipset was removed in the update. Current v 13.2.0.1022 is an incorrect Intel Chipset Driver installed on update but now searching everywhere for a solution. Is there a Intel(R) desktop/Workstation/Server Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller that will work for this set up?

  • Hello,

I'd ask in the Windows 10 IT Pro forums.
