Need to find a way to contact support.....its saying I dont have live one care anymore RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
Can anyone help me contact support. I have a subscription due to expire in oct 2010. All of a sudden today it not says my computer is at risk and it is out of date. I tried to follow all the topics on help like uninstalling it and that stuff. When I go to support it will not even let me get to the part to call them because it still says I have a trial version but that is my whole problem I dont. I am getting really frustrated and can not find a phone number anywhere.

  • First of all, check your computer date and time. If it is wrong -- month, day, year, time -- correct it and reboot. That is the most likely cause of an early expiration message appearing.
Now that you have reinstalled, you must activate using your LiveID for your subscription. Check your subscription status at https://billing.microsoft.com
If you do not activate, and your subscription cannot be validated, contacting support will be via email as a trial user.

If you don't recall the LiveID you used for your subscription, you will need to contact support who can provide that information to you using your Key and/or contact information.

Unofficial path - send me an email at sboots_at_mvps.org (replace _at_ with @)  with a subject line including "OneCare" (to get past my spam filtering) and in the message body, tell me what country you are in, your forum nickname, and paste this link:

I am not online 24x7, so you may be waiting for a reply, but I'll do my best to hook you up with support.

If you don't get an email response from me wthin 24 hours, post back as my email provider is getting more aggressive with the spam filtering.
