Looking for tips for InDesign formatting for HTML5 RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have an brochure (printed for a long time) which we want to move online.  The key characteristics include fixed navigation (no scrolling through the pages).  We have continued to create the base in Adobe's InDesign CC2017 and when we save the file it creates an html file AND a swf file.  This works in I.E. but not in Edge, Chrome or any of the myriad of mobile devices.  It appears the key is the swf (Flash) file which enables the page layout and navigation to work properly but is incompatible with most newer browsers.  Adobe says that InDesign saves html to HTML5 which I thought was supposed to cure this issue... please provide guidance on how to resolve.  Thank you!

  • For help with InDesign you'll need to contact Adobe. It sounds like it may not produce standard HTML5 if it doesn't work in New browsers which are more compliant than I.
