Hello,
I want to do online courses in SQL Server and achieve certification and I searched Microsoft Learning.
I found that MS Learning doesn't have online courses and it is suggesting vendors on the right hand side.I clicked on each of the links but all except one didn't open.
On searching in Google further I came across one Vendor koenig-solutions who said that they are having online training but was not sure if the 5 day training could be given using that facility.
This particular Company http://www.koenig-solutions.com
is having centers in Delhi and Bangalore, thus making it impossible to attend Classroom Training as I am located in Mumbai.
To make already bad situation worst MS is having Microsoft Virtual Academy(MVA) which has only JumpStart courses.
These courses start somewhere in the middle and end either in the middle or somewhere in the end. These courses are useless because nobody can understand anything as they don't have proper beginning or ending.
I have the following questions:
1) Why MS Learning doesn't have Online courses?
Having online courses with MS approved MCTs conducting the courses would be the best and easiest thing to do.
This will give confidence to candidates that entire subject will be covered as per MS curriculum and they wont mind paying more compared to ordinary Training institutes.Quality matters in this case.
2) Why Microsoft is neglecting Training in India?
Since MS authorized training centers are not present in every major city in India leave alone Tier 2, Tier3 cities and small towns, by not having Online training facility it is not only denying this facility to budding programmers but denying itself
the opportunity of making money from it.
Class room training has one big disadvantage - it requires a batch in order to start which takes time to form.
Online training can start anytime, anywhere as long as two persons can get connected by Internet.
3) Is it possible to contact MCTs directly for training? How to know which MCT is for which subject?
Hope Microsoft starts Online training without any further delay.
Regards,
