Non-Hub Machine Subscription Warning Error RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have verified thru online billing at Microsoft that my OneCare expires next year 6/22/2009, but the non-Hub Machine has a red warning that Subscription will Expire on the Hub in 7 days.

The Hub machine is all Green with no Subscription Warning.   How do I get the non-hub machine to turn off the Red warning about the hub machine?

  • I've moved your post to the multi-PC management topic, but it may not belong there. Are you sure that the PC is advising that the Hub PC needs attention? A non-hub machine does not report the status on any PC except for itself. So, if it thinks that the subscription is expiring and has gone red, check the following:

Make sure that the hub and the monitored PC are actually subscribed using the same LiveID. If the monitored PC is red, the hub should be reflecting that, too. Open OneCare and click Help/About to make sure that the subscription ID is the same on both machines and that the status on the monitored PC is "subscribed."

If you recently reinstalled OneCare on the monitored PC, it needs to be activated by clicking the subscribe link and activating with your subscription LiveID.

If either machine is running the 2.5 beta, it needs to be removed and OneCare reinstalled from http://onecare.live.com and activated with your subscription LiveID.

If your subscription to OneCare shows incorrect or expired in OneCare on that machine

    • Check your PC date and time.
    • Check your subscription status by logging in with your subscription LiveID at http://billing.microsoft.com
    • Confirm that this is the same LiveID shown to be the Subscription ID in OneCare - Help/About…
    • Open OneCare and click "Check for Updates" to have OneCare check for updated credentials

If your subscription is correctly shown at the Billing site, but incorrect in OneCare and your PC date and time are correct, please contact support.
