Cannot install DHCP Server on HPC Pack 2016 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I find quite dificult to get a good tutorial on how to install a DHCP Cluster. I have installed Windows Server 2016 datacenter and now I have launched the installation of the hpc pack. On the following step I get stuck: DHCP Server on "Install Required Components".

On this step a powershell window pops up and gets stuck at 24 percent with the following message: Start Installation ... 24%.

I don't know how to continue, any help would be appreciated.

Also happens that if I close the window the next message appears:Component DHCP Server cannot be installed with error code -1073741510. Unknown error

    I'm waiting for any help,

  • Hi,

DHCP server role is a Windows Server built-in role, we just enable it when installing HPC Pack head node if it is not enabled.

You can try to enable it manually with Server Manager "Add roles and features", so that this step will be skipped in HPC Pack installation.
