Bulk Delete RRS feed

  • I have a custom entity which I have set a bulk delete on. if I look in the system jobs, it states that the job is in progress, however after 2 hours, non of the records have been deleted.

    CRM 2013. on the entity view, I selected bulk delete for all active records. I have full administration rights on the system. if I select 250 and manually delete the records are deleted. It just appears that the bulk delete isn't working. Can anyone suggest why this may be

    Thanks for the reply. Problem is sorted. I ended up clearing the logs and rebooting, and regenerating the bulk delete job. It took a while before it started to kick in.

    Do you know how the bulk delete works, ie does it mark each record before starting the delete?. I don't understand why it takes so long prior to the actual deleting to start

  • Hi Pete,

    Bulk deletion jobs are handled by the CRM Async service. It is possible the service wasn't running and the restart would have started the service again. It can take long time if there is an another process waiting . Eg : - Import job, Bulk email out, Workflows etc.
