Search on forum doesn't work at all !!! RRS feed

    I do search on the box "Search All Windows 7 Beta Forums" the word "mouse"

    It DO says "Search: TechNet | Microsoft.com | Entire Web "

    I DO aspect some relevant results



    Results (in order!!):
    • wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mouse )
    • wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mouse_(computing) )
    • apple ( http://www.apple.com/mightymouse/ )
    • mouse.org ( http://www.mouse.org/ )
    • mousepotato ( http://www.mousepotato.com.au/ )
    • sidewinder mouse ( http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/gaming/productdetails.aspx?pid=100 )
    • ...
    • ...
    • ...



    nothing on first page, 50 results! How do I search on the forum????????????

  • Search the forums using Live Search or Google.

    For instance

    At www.live.com use the following

    mouse site:http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/category/w7itpro/     (not a hyperlink!)

    as your search term.

    so why is there a search box on the forum??

  • I just did that same search (though it says "Search all Microsoft Technet forums") and all of the results coming back are from Technet Forums.

    I tried again from from the Win7 hardware forum (this time searching just this forum) and came up with no results. This is either because there is no talk of mice, or Live Search hasn't crawled the relevent threads yet.
