Access Code RRS feed

  • Question

  • I got my Enterprise Admin certification late September. Tried accessing my MCP account today and it asked for MCID and an access code. I got my MCID from my email, but didn't get any access code. I requested for a new access code, but nothing came through. I also tried going through the Regional Support Center but as I live in Nigeria, there isn't a direct means of contacting them. What do I do?

note: I have accessed my MCP account and downloaded certificates in the past without requiring any of these codes.

    Thanks.

  • That is strange.

Normally, you can log into the MCP site with your registered Live ID account.

Are you sure you are logging into the site with the correct account? Once your MCP ID is attached to your Live ID, you should be able to log in whenever you want.

    Good luck!

  • Hi,

I had experienced strange behaviour with MCP site in the past, too.

There is no need to request new access code since you had already received one in the past and had been able to log to the MCP site. Clear browser cache and temporary files and/or wait few hours or a day or two before attempting to log in again. You should be able to log in.

  • Thanks for the reply Davin.

Yes I am sure I am using the right details and account. Once I enter my log-in details, it asks for an MCPID and access code. And since I don't have an access code, when I request for one, nothing happens.

Before all I needed was the log-in details and I could open my account and view my certificates and all. I don't know what changed since the last time I did.

  • Thank you for your reply Sasa.

I haven't ever gotten an access code. Not that I can remember anyways. All I ever did was to log in using my email address and password and I could access my account and view my certificates.

I'm actually trying to access my account after a very long time. Obviously some things have changed.

Now that I'm not being able to request for a new access code, I don't know what to do.
