How to configure CRM and Email Router to send email on behalf a user with gmail accounts RRS feed

    I'm an implementation of MS Dynamics CRM 2011 and one of the requirements is that users can send and receive emails through CRM, the problem is that all users have email accounts of gmail. Is there any way to configure the email router to send and receive emails using each gmail accounts? This is needed if an email is sent through mario@gmail.com, the recipient can respond to mario@gmail com without any problems.

  • Hi,

    That is not matter which email provider is used. Gmail such as other providers has pop and smtp services. Each user should set his credentials on his/her queue, and on his account (file > options > email). Then, after you approved the emails of the users and queues you could test them in the email router panel. If OK, then you could receive and send emails. The incoming emails go through the queue. Have a look at this document on email router configuration. About the sending email on behalf, the user should allow this on his/her options (in file menu).
