I have just had two hard drives fail on me in my WHS storage pool, I know that until I remove them all files will still be listed, but does anyone know of a program that will allow me create a 'snapshot' as it were of the file / structure that I've got
that will be good at pointing out what is missing / lost after I tell WHS to remove the drives from the pool ?.Tcalp
I have had plenty of experience with this as I have rebuilt my WHS about 10 times this year. I had a faulty power connector to 2 drives in my array and did not notice it. Oddly enough the drives would work (mostly) and slowly start data corruption.
So the long answer is NoClone by Reasonable software. This is a great tool and I ended up purchasing the enterprise version to run it on the WHS. There is a trial version to give you an idea of what it does. I hope this helps. Have
a great day.
