  • Hello Bertrand2000,

Retry the phone activation, but this time do not enter or say anything into the system.  This is supposed to shunt you to a live activation representative, who will then ask a couple of questions to determine if you are using your Windows in accordance with the End User Licensing Agreement (EULA), and if so, will activate the installation.

  • Hello Bertrand2000,

It looks like you used a generic systembuilder/OEM installation disc to install XP Pro onto your Fujitsu-Siemens computer.

Have you tried to activate?  If not, Start the Activation Wizard (keys icon in the system tray or Activate Windows in the Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools menu) and choose to Activate by Telephone, then follow the prompts.  Should take about 6-7 minutes.

  • Hi Dan at IT Associates,

    Thank you for answering.

I tried already to activate using Internet and it failed I then tried by phone but it failed also.

What bothers me is that I know that my win xp pro is genuine because I got it from Fujitsu-Siemens and I it worked before. It has a hologram printed on it and a COA with the silver thread that says Genuine.

Is the end of win xp support linked to the end of win xp activation ?
