Office Not Genuine after computer crashed and restored RRS feed

  • I recently had a hard drive failure, and restored my computer using Acronis which we use to make backups of our computers. After installing a Windows update I started getting office not genuine messages.  Our company has a volume license key.  I have a dell Latitutude D620.

    Not with that license key you don't - it's a key that 'escaped' from MS itself, if I'm reading it right!
    As LVTravel says, contact your SysAdmin - urgently!

    Check with your IT administrator at work.  They may be aware of the issue and if so can probably give you a workaround.  If they are not aware they will need to contact Microsoft to find out why the volume license key was blocked.  It is possible that the company did not renew the software license or they reported the license a stolen.
