Report for multiple accounts RRS feed

  • We created a report that utilizes a custom entity of open invoices for an account, Monthly Accounts Receivable Statement. This works fine from the Account view. What we'd like to do is create a view of all accounts that have past due invoices and an A/R Balance > 0 and run the report from this account view for all the selected accounts. There doesn't appear to be a way to successfully do this process. Ideally we'd like to create an email and include the report in the body and send this to the designated primary contact on the account. Any thoughts on how to accomplish this would be truly appreciated.

  • Any report you can run from the form, you should be able to run from a View with multiple Accounts.  Does that not work?

  • No, when we run from any other view besides the Account view, it doesn't run correctly as it cannot get the proper sub-entities.  Perhaps the programmer didn't set it up correctly.

  • Yes, that sounds like an issue with the report design, not CRM.  In theory, if the report is set up right, it should just run on each entity in order, and provide you with copies of the report for each account you select.
