Not seeing exchange: "..in process of retrieving calendar and working hours infomation.."

Question
-
I get an Outlook Integration Error icon showing in the alert area in top right corner which clicking on shows:
"Communicator is in the process of retrieving calendar and working hours information from the Exhange Server. These features may not work correctly until the process is complete."
Presence works in outlook etc, but I do not get the Conversation History folder appearing in my mailbox on my PC.
Also the Personal Information Manager options are greyed out and there is only Windows Address Book in the dropdown menu.
This only applies to my PC which is running Vista Enterprise and Office Enterprise 2007. If I log onto another computer with same OS / Office I don't see the error...
Have tried repairing / uninstalling and reinstalling communicator but no change in the weather...
So far have deployed Communicator to maybe 10 clients and nobody else has this error
I was the first person to install the Communicator Client..
Does anyone have any ideas of how I could resolve this?
Thanks

On upgrade to RC the option for Outlook as personal information manager is now present - so the RC version fixed this
However everytime I open Communicator and signin with automatic builtin windows authentication matching my win user account, I get a seperate authentication prompt asking for my user accoutn and password.
If I enter this its fine for the rest of the session, but if I click cancel, outlook has message in bottom right saying enter password. If I click it and select enter password the message goes away.
The authentication prompt to exchange 12 appears after signing onto windows and Communicator whether Outlook is already running or not.
Any Ideas about this one?
Thanks

Hi NorthTec,
This is a known issue with this public beta version. There is no specific fix yet. There are some things you can try as listed in the FAQ post about this.
There are some things that can be checked to possibly resolve some issues.
- Start Outlook, wait a few minutes and then start Communicator.
- Check that Outlook is using the default profile.
- Verify you are using Office Communicator 2007 build 2.6090.0.
- Verify your Internet Explorer proxy settings are correct for your environment.
- Try to connect to your Adress Book Server URL's manually. If they are not accessible, then troubleshoot your web services:
- For example:
- Try to connect to the URLs from the server.
- Check for any DNS issues.
- Check any routing issues.
- Try resetting IIS.
- Try restarting the web pages.
- For example:
- Verify you are using the same credentials in Outlook as you are in Communicator.
- Verify your are not using an untrusted certificate in Exchange Server 2007.
- On the client machine, delete galcontacts.db located in %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Communicator. On the OCS server open a command prompt. navigate to <install path>\Server\Core\ and then run ABServer.exe -syncNow
- In Office Communicator, under Tools>Options,on the bottom part of the Personal tab is the Personal information manager. Verify that the 'Automatically retrieve Out of Office settings from Outlook' and 'Update my status based on calendar data' options have been selected.
Let us know how this goes for you.

Thanks for the response Thom,
Unfortunately none of those suggestions have resolved it
Is there anything else I could do other than waiting for RTM?
I will be the main resource for training our 100 user pilot group and would be great if my computer was setup to work the same as theirs...
Also the converstaion history mailbox folder is greatly missed

I am sorry that none of these things helped. I would say just keep checking out the forums. If I hear of any other fixes I will post them on the FAQ thread.Monday, June 4, 2007 5:38 PM

Don't know if this is relevant but we have another user who had Office 2003, then upgraded her Outlook to 2007, and is now getting this same error.
She wasn't getting the error before the upgrade, and is using Windows XP 32bit.
Im still getting the error however, so am considering reformatting my machine. This is not a very good solution however if other users keep getting the same problem...
