  • Question

  • hi all

    i have passed 70-270 , 70-290 and 70-291 exams

i want to earn MCSA in messaging

    this is my question ...

can i take "exchange server 2007 70-236" exam as forth exam instead of "exchange server 2003 70-284" ? or not

because on my MCP account in certification planner section does not contain exchange server 2007 as messaging specialization

    thanks

  • Hi Shad,

I strongly suggest you to take 70-236

If you pass 70-236 you will get both MCSA and MCT (MCTS Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Configuration Certification)

After 70-236, you can continue for newer Exchange2007 messaging exams and gain MCITP (MCITP Enterprise Messaging Administrator Certification)

  • Hi Shad,

Did you check the Microsoft Exchange Server Certification Paths ?

By taking 70-236 you gain MCTS, adding 70-237 and 70-238 exams will gain you MCITP certifications on Exchange Server 2007.

That is a newer path for certification and I think it is better to study for an MCTS or MCITP instead of MCP, etc.

  • Hi Shad !

This is great that you have passed these exams so if you want to get 70-236 so you will get MCTS and after that you if you will pass 2 more exams 70-237 and 70-238 so you will get MCITP Certification from Microsoft. and MCP will remain as you are now an MCP which means Microsoft Certified Professional.

    Regards.
