Skype for Business login issue- “Can’t sign in to Skype for Business. The server is temporarily unavailable. If the problem continues, please contact your support team.” RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I'm not sure how this happens for the users. This particular message blocks users from signing into Skype. 

    “Can’t sign in to Skype for Business. The server is temporarily unavailable. If the problem continues, please contact your support team.”

    It happens to a few users.

    These troubleshooting steps were used to fix the issue:

    - Deleted Sign-in info

    - Open Registry editor

    - Go to HKEY_Current User > Software > Microsoft 

    - Now you will find MSOIdentityCRL which needs to be deleted.

    - Once you delete the file, you would have to exit Skype completely and start it again

    - Type in your sign-in info, and you're in.

    - These steps have worked for me every time.

    What I'm not sure is how this issue occurs for the user and what the file MSOIdentityCRL is?

    Please let me know your thoughts.
