Windows Home Server 2011 Dashboard will not start RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I click on the dashboard icon or the dashboard in safe mode, the cursor goes to the hour glass and then stops. In the windows log file I get two errors. 1000 application error

ConsoleLauncher.exe and 1026 .net Runtime error

    ConsoleLauncher.exe

    Framework Version: v4.0.30319

The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.

I have checked the time and date.

I can remote desktop in the server.

and the backup works even though I can't load the desktop.

I have check every other post of the problem but the solutions didn't work.

Here is the error report it gens

  • Hi,

If there is any change before this problem happened, such as application installation, updating, configuration, try to undo the change and confirm the result.

Besides, restart the server in clean boot if possible and confirm that if it is related to any 3rd party process.

Also, run “sfc /scannow” to check/repair system files. Or, try to check/repair/reinstall .net framework :

  • Sorry I was not able to reply to this earlier.

    fresh boot did not help.

only itunes is running on the server.

sfc / scannow did not return any problems.

how ever. the system was hack on 3/7/2016. some one gained access via remote desktop. and added users and changed the passwords on the system.
