Run javascript on a reply message RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Everyone,

I would like to prefill some values on the new form when the user clicks Reply on an existing e-mail message. I added a script to the onload event of e-mail form. My problem is that when the form is loaded, it already has form type 2 (update). Is it how it supposed to work? The new record is not yet created at this point. How can I distinguish between a draft update and a new reply in JS?

  • Hi,

It is by design, the reason is that when you reply to an email it creates the reply Before you can add text since it is connected to the previous email if I understand things correctly. You should be able to find some information on the new email about the email it's related to. I Think that the inreplyto field holds such info, have a look at that.
