Help with WGA for Software Assurance Customers RRS feed

  • Dear Sirs,

    Our orginization has a software aggreement with Microsoft and we are having severe patch releated issues due to the WGA. We use a distributed MS software update server to deliver our patches but clients also have access to the Internet to update there machine VIA the internet.

    Many of the machines do not appear to be recieving updates because the WGA tool has not been run on them. We are presently in a crisi situation where we are planning on working overtime to manually respond to the WGA and patch 1500+ machines.

    Is there any work around available for Software Assurance customers? Do we need to completly shut off windows updates via group policy to ensure that patches continue to be installed in our enterprise?
