Un-install problems

Question
-
Thought I'd test the uninstall of Live Mesh and see what happened. The software un-installed ok, but the Live Mesh REmote Desktop service is still running even after a number of re-boots.
I have manually stopped the service through task manager, but it automatically starts back up and shows in the list of services.
I have gone into services.msc from the start menu and disabled & stopped the service from there, but when the PC is re-booted the service is set back to auto start & running. Also the MOEMonitor.exe service is still loading up in the list of active services.
Also I've noticed since installing the Live Mesh software there are a number of services I can not run at all on my system either by right clicking, start menu, search bar or through control panel.
Any ideas on this?

Hi,
If you wouldn't mind submitting your logs with a bug report, we can look into this for you. Instructions are at the top of the forums.
Thanks,

Hi Ben. That's what I'm struggling with. The logs option is another one of the services that doesn't open when I click it, so I can't get the logs.
It flashes up with a CMD screen for a split second then nothing. No logs are saved to the desktop or anywhere else. This is what happens to other services I try to load.Any how i've made a list of the contol panel options that wont open.
1. Backup and Restore
2. Bitlocker
3. Default Programs
4. Ease of access center
5. Network & Sharing center
6. Parental Controls
7. Performance Info & Tools
8. Personalize
9. Power Options
10. Speech Recognition Options
11. System
12. User Accounts
13. Welcome Center
14. Windows Update
The ones highlighted in red are ones I know wont open with right click either, or from the start menu.
I've just tried typing all the above services into the search bar as well and try running them from there. Still don't open.
It's only just started happening since I installed Live Mesh.

Hi Kobol,
I've forwarded this problem on to other members of the team so that we can get more minds working on it. Have you checked yet to see if you have the Servicing logs? Here's the relevant bit from the instructions:
If you run into an error during the installation of the Live Mesh software, a Servicing.log will be created. To get this log:
1. Click Start
2. If you are using Vista, type Servicing* in the search bar. If you are using XP, click Search and then type Servicing*
3. In the search results you will see Servicing.log or Servicing(0000).log depending on where the installation failed. To go directly to the file, the Servicing log is in INSTALLDIR\Setup\Servicing.log or %temp%\Live Mesh\Servicing[0000].log if Live Mesh was uninstalled/rolled back during a failed installation.
If you do have this log file please send it to the team (see the instructions in an Announcement at the top of the forums). If you submit through the Live Mesh Connect site you can also post your Connect Feedback ID here (which will make it easier for me to track internally, as well as allowing other customers to view and validate this bug).
Thanks,

Tried that but I don't get any option for servicing.log or servicing(0000).log.
Also tried to re-install Live Mesh, and it gave me a error message. I've made sure that it has been un-installed completely. I did try the repair option before un-install, but no luck.

Hi Kobol,
If I understand you correctly, after Live Mesh failed to install there was no servicing log in the temp directory. Can you tell me where %temp% is pointing, i.e., if you click Start Menu, Run, and type %temp%, where does it take you? And there's no Live Mesh folder in there?
I'm continuing to share the information you provide here with other members of the team, and we'll keep working to find a solution.
Thanks for your patience,

Hi Ben, finally managed to find the correct folder. Because I'm using Vista 64, everytime I typed the full path to the folder it was taking me to the 32bit folder tree rather the x64 one.
I've posted the log to the Live Mesh feedback on connect site. The ID number for the post is 352900.
I'll put the service log here for you as well. In the folder where this was located there was also 2 other .dll files with it. Is that rite?
