OneCare scan for virus takes hours to pass IEXPLORE.EXE RRS feed

  • I have this problem pretty much every single week while OneCare kicks off the Tune-up.

    The problem is whiel everything else work fine, every time it in the step of "Scan for viruses and other potentially unwanted software", it takes hours to pass "IEXPLORER.EXE" at "88%". Take today for an example, it has been more then 4 hours and I am still staring at "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" and "88%".

    It will eventually finish based on my weekly experience for the past year or so, but I'm wondering if there is something can be done to help this situation.

    BTW, I'm still using IE6 because that's the version my client is using.
