Interesting Host Header problem RRS feed

  • We have CRM 4.0 installed on a server.  It's installed into the web root (inetpub/wwwroot).  It runs on port 80, and uses a host header. When connecting to the server from any other computer on the domain, it works fine.  However, if we go onto the CRM server and try to access it with the same url (crm.ourdomain.com), it asks for credentials.  When valid credentials are given, it fails after 3 tries and gives this error: HTTP Error 401.1 - Unauthorized: Access is denied. 

    Has anyone seen this specific problem?  I think i have the SPNs correctly set for both the host header and the service account.  It's so weird that it runs fine from everywhere except the server it's hosted on...  Any help would be appreciated.
