Sync toy duplicates folders and contents RRS feed

    When I ask synctoy to sync picture files, it just takes the My Pictures Folder from one drive and nestles it among the My Pictures files in the next drive, in alphabetical order, but doesn't sync subfolders at all.

    it is possible those subfolders are symlinks, which SyncToy will not resolve and sync.

    I don't know what a symlink is.

     

    I use Windows XP Pro.  Sync toy appears to not be able to get past the folder level to compare actual files?
