Windows Vista Not Genuine after repair of boot sector

Question
-
I've tried uninstalling the key with slmgr -upk but I get the error message "C:\Windows\system32\slmgr.vbs(662, 5) (null): Catastrophic failure"
I've tried activating over the phone but it just tells me that the confirmation id doesn't match.
Does anyone have an ida on how to fix this?
Thanks!

'Activate Later' otherwise it will try to Activate over the internet, automaticly, and that won't work.
If those steps don't resolve the issue, then I'm not sure how to fix your issue and I recommend contacting assisted support at one of the below URLs for additional assistance.

Hi randomguy3,
That eror on the Licensing Data section has me concerned. I don't think I'v seen that before.
Well, regardless of the error, when there is an issue in the Licensing Data Section, I alway have the user recreate Vista's Licensing Store. (recreates the file and it's data) It almost always does the trick.
1) Open an Internet Browser window.
2) Type: %windir%\system32 into the browser address bar.
3) Find the file CMD.exe
4) Right-Click on CMD.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'
5) Type: net stop slsvc (it may ask you if you are sure, select yes)
6) Type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing
7) Type: rename tokens.dat tokens.bar
8) Type: cd %windir%\system32
9) Type: net start slsvc
10) Type: cscript slmgr.vbs -rilc (It may take a long time for this to complete, please be patient)
11) Restart your computer twice.
12) You may be required to enter the Product Key and/or Activate. Be sure to Activate using the By Phone method.Tell me how that worked for you,

Darin,
Thanks so much for your reply. I actually tried this already and the same issue occurs. Though, I did have one question, in step 11, when I start the computer up after running "slmgr.vbs -rilc", the first thing that pops up is the "Activate Now or Later" dialog. Which do I need to push to get into Windows to reboot for the second time?
Thanks,
-RG
