New to MapPoint. . . How to select a radius of data? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I've just opened MapPoint 2013 and would like to import data, select a radius from a given location, and export the data.  This is all I need MapPoint to handle but can't seem to find a short tutorial on how to go about it.

I've tried flying by the seat of my pants, so to speak, and have selected a driving range of 70 minutes but the output file shows only 96 records when I know there are many more organizations within the driving radius I selected.  The push pins seem to be related to zip codes.  For instance, in the Excel file there aren't addresses (records) but only zip codes and a list showing the number of organizations within each zip.  I want the actual organizations within a one hour drive range.

  • Did you figure out that you need to select the radius or drivetime, and then right-click on it to Export to Excel?

Do you have a Pushpin layer for the Organizations?
