  • PLEASE HELP: Hi to everyone please kindly help: CALLING ALL MICROSOFT PROS AND GEEKS

    SCENARIO: I set-up Internet Connection Sharing to users using a Wireless Internet USB Adapter HUAWEII in a windows xp sp3 machine to distribute internet connection to users connected to an ordinary switch port as thier common link.  I want to block all proxy servers, all proxy applications and unwanted sites (ie. hotspot shield, openvn, etc. etc.) from all the users. What is the best way for me to block and restrict all those from users? I have a huge file lists of unwanted websites and put in that xp machine's host file and it works and restrict those users accessing those specific websites lists that I have included in the host file. But how i can combat and block those users from using proxy servers and applications?

    Note: the set-up is outside a secured network and it's using an open internet connection with dynamic IP.

    QUESTIONS: are these can be done through Group Policy, Blocking of ports, IPSec? please help me and guide me on this what should I do and use please include also other tools. Your brilliant ideas counts and helps for combating this issues with Microsoft Windows XP realibility and security as an O.S
