DAWALS,
Could I have you be a bit more specific? Where do you get the warning flags? Are they in the toolbar, or when windows boots up? Both?
Have you tried to go to http://www.microsoft.com/genuine and click validate?
Let us know if it doesn't work, and where your flags are coming from.
Thanks,

you want to think yourself lucky! you got the wga package!
I have parted with my money and am still being kept waiting for my key and my disc!
when 80% of the worlds computers run on microsoft operating systems and i can purchase items from the middle of nowere in india via credit card, (and get them delivered in 24 hours), please tell me how the supposed might of microsoft seems to have trouble sorting out a little monetrey exchange!
so what do i have now? a computer that i cannot acsess (so how can i check my e-mail to see if the new key has arrived? incidentaly this is works computer!) and a hole in my bank account and nothing to show for it!
this is on top of feeling that i have paid for xp twice (origonaly my copy was part of a bundle from a dell system and apparently its not genuine! dell were very supprisd about that when i assaulted them on the phone about it!)
should have listened to my mates.........and brought a MAC!

DAWALS,
could you try deleting the file LegitCheckControl.dll from your system32 and then try going to http://www.microsoft.com/genuine and clicking validate.

I've deleted the noted DLL and revalidated. The validation says it is successful, but I still get warnings on bootup and in the toolbar.
I also loaded a new version validation tool from windows update. Nothing has changed.
Any further ideas?

Could you please install the validation tool and notification tool available at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=69479 and http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=69498 respectively.
And then copy the results of the Diag Tool (available at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012) on this thread again. This is just so we can take a look at what is going on.
Thanks.
Anand.
