Getting an Error while import data with a role other than System Administrator

Question
-
Hi,
I am able to import the data with System Administrator Role only.
Even though i have given the full privileges to "Marketing Professional" to import data but it gives the error while importing data as "No privileges to import the data".
Can anyone know where the problem isTuesday, February 24, 2009 7:43 AM

I would recommend that you assign them the "System Customizer" role. That ensure that they can make customizations to the system and yet get no extra privileges to view data. You can revoke the role onces they have finished making customizations. If you dont want to assign them all the privileges of the "System Customizer" role then I would make a copy of the role and make changes to it before assigning it to the marketing staff.H.

If your security role was created from scratch, you might want to also try copying one of the system roles (those that come when you instal CRM) and then modify it to meet your needs. There have been problems with roles created from scratch. There are quite of number of permissions that are included with the system roles that aren't exposed and are not available with a roles created from scratch.

Make sure the user has create, write, append and append to rights on the entity they are trying to import. Also, if the security role is 'custom' created and not a default role that was included in CRM, you may want to revert back to a user role created in CRM. There have been issues associated with security roles that were newly created.
