ConferenceXP 4.0 beta now available for download RRS feed

  • Question

  • All four ConferenceXP 4.0 beta components (client, venue service, archive service and reflector service) are now available from the downloads page.  Source code will be available there shortly as well.

A few notes on this beta release:

    • ConferenceXP 4.0 beta and 3.5 do not interoperate and we’ve set up a venue server specifically for 4.0 testing (pre-populated in the 4.0 client).
    • It is recommended that you do not install Windows Media Player 11 beta at this time.  There is a bug in the way WMP installs Windows Media 9 codecs (this is fixed in a later release and will also be in the final release) that causes video configuration problems with ConferenceXP.
    • If you are involved in the Office 2007 beta, we’d be interested in any issues you may run into with regard to either PowerPoint 2007 or OneNote 2007 and ConferenceXP.  This release supports PowerPoint2007 pptx files.
    • This release includes improved support for USB microphones - please let us know if you run into any problems with the Phoenix Duet or other USB speakerphone systems.

As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated!
