  • Hello klmagill,

Both your Windows and Office installations on your Dell Latitude C840 laptop computer are Volume Licensing installations.  In the case of the Office installation, Office was installed using a widely pirated and now blocked Volume Licensing Key (VLK).

Since your computer has Volume Licensing installations of both Office and Windows, I am assuming that the computer is associated with a larger business, educational, or governmental organization that has a valid, active Volume Licensing Agreement for Office and Windows with Microsoft.  If so, please report the nongenuine issue to your organization's IT suppport staff for further troubleshooting and resolution.
