Office 2007 deactivation? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible to deactivate an activated copy of office 2007? I have been using an msdn licensed copy on vista 64 but due to lack of drivers etc. I am moving to a 32 bit version of vista, however office 2007 says I have exceeded my licences. so can I remove the license from the old machine first?

  • When it comes to Product Activation, there is no such procedure to "deactivate" an existing software installation that has already been activated.  Simply uninstall your Office 2007 software from the 64-bit version of Vista, then reinstall it on the 32-bit version of Vista.  When Office 2007 Product Activation fails, you'll see an option to "activate by phone".
