Use git source as a project template - Creating Python Environment RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

How can I use a git repository as my project template solution.

So what I wanted to do was to clone  git clone https://github.com/miguelgrinberg/flasky.git

Then use this repo as my project creating a virtualenv and setting project dependencies in the requirements.txt file.

However currently what happens to me is that I have to create a blank flask project, but this creates a folder within the git folder instead of just letting me use the git repo folder.

the repo has very particular checkouts to use and that is why i want to use it as default with nothing else.

    Can I do this?

    Taking my C# further

  • Hi SaythJ,

Based on your description, I’m afraid that it is not the correct forum for this issue, since this forum is to discuss:

Visual Studio WPF/SL Designer, Visual Studio Guidance Automation Toolkit, Developer Documentation and Help System, and Visual Studio Editor.

If this issue is related to the Python-Git, I suggest you post this issue in this forum:
