Can I get more than a 12 month subscription? RRS feed

  • Question

  • So I have a few months left on my subscription.  If I purchase a new subscription, will I end up with 12 months or will I get 16 month?

    Thanks

  • Your renewal will take effect upon expiration of the current subscription.

Go to http://billing.microsoft.com and sign in with your subscription LiveID. (Open OneCare and click help/about to view the subscription LiveID)

Select the OneCare subscription and click on the renew link.

Choose the option to renew with a prepaid PIN or token which is the retail product key.

Enter the 25 character key and proceed.

It can take up to 24 hours for the subscription status to be updated in OneCare.

  • I guess I should also clarify with a specific answer...

If you renew now, with 4 months left, the new expiration date will be 4 months plus 12 months, as you will have added 12 months to your current subscription by providing a retail key.
