  • Euan,

Try this site, they're both available there.
This isn't an Add-In as such, although it will appear in your Console, it needs to be installed following it's own methods in the Manual.

  • Did you built it yourself or is it a HP, Tranquil or Fujistu Siemens solution?
What version of the software are you running - Windows Home Server Console - Settings - Resources?
How many PCs do you have the Connector software installed on?
How many Add-Ins (and which ones) do you have installed?

  • Euan,

What do the server logs have to say? If you have the Toolkit installed, you can access them directly, otherwise, they are available at:
    %SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Home Server\logs.

Also, have you checked the obvious things, like running 'chkdsk' on each drive; ensuring that drivers etc haven't changed; done anything outside the usual - software added etc.

After that, personally I would just do a server re-install as this will clear any possible software 'glitches' whilst preserving all you data.

  • Euan,

From that, the first port of call would be the Toolkit I mentioned earlier. (If you don't yet have it installed, then take note of the correct installation method which is in the Manual, available at the same place).
This Toolkit has a storage diagnostic tool, which should help further.
Once it's installed, in the Console, open the Settings page and then choose Backup from the L.H. side. Here, you will be able to Repair your backups, which might clear the first error. If it doesn't it's probable that you will need to reset your backups and start again.

Regarding the second part, you should try running 'chkdsk /r' on the appropriate drive, as it looks as though there could be a drive error there.

    Let us know the results,

    Colin

  • Hi,
CRC errors often point to errors in file system, maybe caused by a crash, by faulty memory, by disk error.
I would recommend, to execute chkdsk on all disks of your server as a first step, as outlined here.
You can try to repair the backup database from within the console. This may also cause loss of some or even all backups, depending  from the damage.
If this does not work, you can delete all backups and start over. For this purpose you can install the WHS Toolkit on the server. This will offer you a button to reset the backup database.
    Best greetings from Germany
