Vista + Home Sever Print Server + Word 2007 = Problem RRS feed

  • I'm running Windows Home server and connect my Windows Vista Home Premium with Office 2007 to it. I have a Dell Color Laser 3010CN attached to my home server shared for my other computers to print off of. All other printers have not problems but, when Word 07 on the Vista Premium is launched I get an error that directs me to update my printer driver in order for it to work. The problem is there is no way to specify Vista drivers on the WHS nor is there anyway for me to add them to my Vista Home Premium machine. The only solution that I have found is to connect the printer directly to my Home Premium machine and share out from there.


    I guess this post is both a question - as I don't know of any other way to fix the issue - and as a comment - as Home Sever needs the ability to add Vista drivers as well as the XP, 2000, and 98 that are already avalible. (Ok, not 98)
