Yet another Non-Genuine Version, Build 7600, W7

Question
-
Yes, this is another thread about a non-genuine version of Windows 7. I have tried to tackle this problem a few times over the years and I thought I would try again. I have spent about 2 hours on the phone with Microsft and they told me my validation key was okay but I needed to reformat and reinstall to fix and that was my only option. I was going to check again and see if anything new has came about since I have tried last. I really appreciate your help!!!

Have you been using any Registry Clreaners/Optimisers?
(what were the results of the CHKSDSK?? - you'll need to look in Event Viewer under entries for the Winlogon service)
Try a SYstem Restore back to a time the system was working properly.

On a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core edition, run 'slui.exe 0x2a 0x46' to display the error text.
Error: 0x46I’ve never seen a satisfactory explanation of this error – and we’ve never really been able to fix it in the forums.I can only suggest starting with the usual catch-all of SFC and CHKDSK.Click on the Start button
type in the Search box
CMD.EXE
right-click on the only file that is found
Select Run as Administrator
- the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up
At the Command prompt, type
CHKDSK C: /R
and hit the Enter key
You will be told that the drive is locked, and the CHKDSK will run at he next boot - hit the Y key, and then reboot. The chkdsk will take a few hours depending on the size of the drive, so be patient!
After the CHKDSK has run, Windows should boot normally (possibly after a second auto-reboot) - then run the SFC
SFC -System File Checker - Instructions
Click on the Start button
type in the Search box
CMD.EXE
right-click on the only file that is found
Select Run as Administrator
- the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up
At the Command prompt, type
SFC /SCANNOW
and hit the Enter key
Wait for the scan to finish - make a note of any error messages - and then reboot.
run another MGADiag report, and post the results.Beyond that, a repair install may work (I don’t think a reformat is required yet) – or if you’re willing to spend some time on it, let me know, and we’ll see what we can do.
