Can a dll function create and edit a bin file when it is called? If yes name some keywords?

  I'm new to visual c++. I'm using visual c++ 6. I need to know if dll functions can do file operations like a normal c++ function. If the file operations in dll are different, please name some. I'll google them. Thank you
