Windows host process (Runddl32) has stopped working

I have quite a few mpg files and am trying to view the file with large icons in Windows Vista Ultimate. I get a popup box with the above-mentioned error message everytime a thumbnail of an mpg file loads. I upgraded my OS from Win XP to Win Vista Ultimate. Does someone know what might be the problem?
